    • Chapter 10: Thermal Properties of Matter: Temperature, heat, thermal expansion, calorimetry, and heat transfer (conduction, convection, radiation).
    • Chapter 11: Thermodynamics: Zeroth and first laws of thermodynamics, thermodynamic processes, and the Carnot engine.
    • Chapter 12: Kinetic Theory: Behaviour of gases, kinetic theory of an ideal gas, degrees of freedom, and the law of equipartition of energy.
    • Chapter 13: Oscillations: Periodic motion, simple harmonic motion (SHM), energy in SHM, and the simple pendulum.
